Senior Field Engineer

Bayonet Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to oversee the execution of low‑voltage and structured cabling projects. The role focuses on ensuring that all work meets design specifications, passes quality audits, and closes out with documentation and warranties.

Responsibilities

• Review and finalize project redlines, including scope of work (SoW) changes, and coordinate with engineering and leads.
• Verify that all infrastructure installations (copper, fiber, grounding/bonding) conform to design drawings and specifications.
• Use internal trackers to monitor fiber and copper installations and ensure timely close‑out.
• Coordinate network configuration work and resolve any issues that arise during installation.
• Reference and submit RFIs in collaboration with the team, incorporating lessons learned into project documentation.
• Conduct and verify test audits, confirming that all testing matches the design prints and that audit packages are complete.
• Prepare and submit product submittals, including BOM verification and product sheet acquisition.
• Generate and distribute installation labels, managing reprints and sign‑out procedures.
• Gather warranty documentation and facilitate warranty processing at project completion.
• Maintain and update lessons‑learned records throughout the project life cycle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–4 years of commercial low‑voltage or structured cabling experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
• Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and other project documents.
• Self‑motivated, positive, professional, and capable of leading and mentoring others.
• Good customer‑service orientation and ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to travel within regional territory as required.

Minimum Experience

0‑2 years of related experience.

Salary

USD $42.00 – $47.00 per hour.
