United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) in Hermiston, OR to perform safe maintenance and repair on complex diesel equipment at customer sites. You will travel to job sites, maintain a professional service vehicle, and support training for junior technicians while documenting work orders daily.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 3–5 years’ equipment repair experience, own tools, and a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Own tools applicable to position.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
