This field-based role requires 4+ years of inspection experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant ICC licenses or Maryland certifications; you will coordinate with clients and agencies, supervise project inspection activities, and maintain project

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of Construction Inspection Experience.
• Certifications: ICC Commercial Mechanical Inspector or ICC Commercial Plumbing Inspector or Maryland Master HVACR License or Master Plumber/Gas Fitter License (Maryland) or NICET Level II.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations.
• Performs routine tests on concrete, soils and other materials.
• Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement to ensure compliance to plans and codes.
• Coordinate and supervise project inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance with plans, contract documents, specifications and standards.
• Draft project correspondence, facilitate project meetings, and resolve construction related field issues.
• Gathers and maintains record documents; makes field notes and computations.
• Interact with the public, government agencies, contractors and other parties to respond to inquiries.
• Lead and manage team members with coaching and setting expectations.
