Job summary

GEI Consultants seeks an Archaeologist in Plymouth, MI to lead cultural resources projects, plan surveys, supervise field crews and prepare NEPA/Section 106 reports. Travel is required as part of field work.

The candidate should hold a Master’s or PhD in Archaeology and be a Registered Professional Archaeologist, with 5 years of Midwest US experience and strong writing and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Archaeology or closely related field.
• Registered Professional Archaeologist.
• 5 years of archaeological consulting or agency experience in midwestern US.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for complex technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Pursue new clients and projects with leadership support.
• Prepare scopes of work, budgets, RFPs and technical reports.
• Assist with project management and small projects.
• Plan and lead archaeological surveys, site recordation and data recovery.
• Supervise field crews and prepare cultural resources reports.
