Job summary

TriLink BioTechnologies, part of Maravai LifeSciences, is hiring a Senior Field Application Scientist to support customer engagements and deliver technical leadership across gRNA, oligonucleotide, and mRNA technologies. This role partners with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into customized solutions that drive product adoption and business growth.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in related field with 2–5 years' relevant experience, or bachelor’s/master’s equivalent with extensive experience.
Demonstrated expertise in gRNA, oligonucleotide synthesis, mRNA technologies, nucleic acid therapeutics, molecular biology.
Experience supporting custom manufacturing, analytical testing, GMP services, process development, quality, or related functions.
Ability to assess customer requirements and translate into customer-focused technical solutions.
Strong customer-facing, consultative, presentation, and scientific communication skills.
Knowledge of clinical development, CMC, GMP, and regulatory requirements for nucleic acid therapeutics preferred.
Ability to lead complex customer engagements across multiple teams.
Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

Develop technical strategies supporting complex customer opportunities and pre- and post-sales activities.
Develop scientific recommendations for gRNA, oligonucleotide, mRNA, and GMP services.
Serve as the scientific SME resolving complex technical challenges and advising on TriLink technologies.
Assess customer requirements and collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Commercial teams on feasibility.
Represent TriLink at conferences, meetings, webinars, and industry events.
Translate VOC, emerging applications, and market trends into recommendations for product innovation and growth.
Provide technical leadership to Commercial teams and share best practices across engagements.
Prepare and present technical proposals, SOWs, scientific presentations, publications, webinars, and related docs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
