Job summary

Nextpower seeks a Senior Field Applications Engineer to lead on-site and remote field engineering support for foundation solutions, coordinating with Product Development and Machinery teams. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and project management across global sites.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in field or applications engineering, hands-on machinery experience, and a technical degree.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in field engineering, applications engineering, product development, mechanical engineering or a related technical field
• Experience in the renewable energy sector preferred
• Hands-on experience with heavy machinery, foundation installation, or construction site operations
• Experience in customer-facing roles, providing direct technical support and troubleshooting
• Management experience preferred
• Experience with both hardware and software tools
• Very strong computer skills required
• Survey or GPS equipment experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with remote and on-site technical and engineering support for integrating foundation solutions
• Lead internal and external field and office-based engineering personnel globally
• Envision, develop, implement and improve internal processes and tools for global teams
• Collaborate with Product Development, Machinery Engineering, and Software Engineering teams
• Document and communicate customer feedback and issues to stakeholders
• Travel to provide on-site operational and technical support
• Drive design, implementation and testing of foundation solutions hardware
• Oversee on-site parts procurement and machine repair
• Design and deliver training for operators and engineers
• Ensure safety concerns are reported and mitigated
