Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a Sr. Field Applications Engineer, Foundation Services in the United States for hands-on field support of foundation solutions. You will lead technical integration, issue resolution, and field-readiness improvements across equipment and installation processes.

You will drive field testing, develop service standards, and train operators and engineers while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction across domestic and international sites.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Hands-on experience with heavy machinery, foundation installation, construction-site operations, field troubleshooting, machine repair, and customer-facing technical support.
• 8+ years of experience with hardware and software tools, engineering drawings and technical specifications, and field data used to improve products, equipment, testing, processes, or support practices.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work safely in active construction, renewable-energy, and field environments.
• Strong computer, communication, interpersonal, and professional skills; ability to advise others and persuade stakeholders across disciplines.
• Physical & Environmental Requirements: ability to work in outdoor construction, industrial, and manufacturing environments; frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing; lift up to 50 lbs; exposure to noise and heavy equipment; PPE; travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Develop, launch, and execute the Equipment Wellness Inspection Program across site locations; provide feedback to improve maintenance and training.
• Develop, launch, and execute Nextpower Drill Engineering Service; establish drilling parameters, monitor performance, and standardize practices.
• Lead resolution of complex technical, mechanical, installation, equipment, and operational issues with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Partner with Product Development and Machinery Engineering to integrate field learnings into product and process improvements.
• Design and implement field testing; provide results and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Develop and improve troubleshooting methods, internal processes, support tools, and field documentation.
• Provide customer-focused technical support and deliver training for operators, engineers, mechanics, customers, subcontractors, and internal field teams.
• Drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement through effective communication and escalation when needed.
