Job summary

BIP US is seeking a Senior Fidessa Developer to join its Equities Cash Technology organization. This hands-on role centers on server-side Fidessa development, upgrades, and integrations for institutional and retail trading workflows.

The candidate should bring deep Fidessa experience across CASE, FBL, TOP, OMS components, FIX connectivity, and post-trade processing, with strong collaboration across Trading, Product, and Production teams. Remote/hybrid options apply.

Qualifications

7+ years of Core Java development experience.
3+ years of Fidessa server-side development experience.
Strong hands-on Fidessa CASE, FBL, and TOP knowledge.
Deep Fidessa OMS architecture knowledge (OMAR/TMAR/PMAC).
Experience supporting production Fidessa trading platforms.
Hands-on FIX protocol experience, including flows and connectivity.
Proven Fidessa product upgrade work with client-specific customizations.
Solid understanding of Cash Equities/global markets workflows.
Experience with OMS and post-trade processing.
Fidessa products PAIRS, NMS, FIX+, APAS, FDA familiarity.
Distributed systems and event-driven architectures & integrations.
Windows and Linux environment familiarity.
Scripting in TCL, Python, Unix Shell, or PowerShell.
Experience with Sybase and/or MS SQL Server.
Messaging tech: AMPS, IBM MQ, Tibco EMS.
Agile, automated testing, DevOps, and CI/CD exposure.
Strong troubleshooting and production-support skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and support server-side applications on Fidessa.
Develop and maintain Fidessa solutions using CASE, FBL, TOP.
Work with Fidessa OMS components including OMAR, TMAR, PMAC.
Support production Fidessa trading systems for institutional and retail equities.
Integrate Fidessa apps with exchanges, brokers, and downstream systems.
Develop and support FIX connectivity and related routing/execution workflows.
Perform Fidessa product upgrades and manage client-specific customizations.
Analyze Fidessa customizations for remediation or redevelopment during upgrades.
Support Cash Equities trading workflows: order capture, routing, execution, post-trade.
Troubleshoot complex production issues across Fidessa layers and databases.
Develop interfaces using Fidessa products (PAIRS, NMS, FIX+, APAS, FDA).
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business/regulatory needs into tech solutions.
Support regulatory changes affecting equities trading workflows.
Develop utilities and automation using TCL, Python, Unix Shell, PowerShell.
Work with Sybase/MS SQL Server for support and analytics.
Engage in DevOps and CI/CD implementation; contribute to testing frameworks.
Improve resiliency, monitoring, and operational support with infrastructure teams.
Utilize AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.
