Job summary

Hilcorp Energy Company seeks an accounting advisor to support the operational accounting teams with complex upstream transactions and SAP FICO enhancements. You will translate business needs into functional specifications and assist training for end-users.

The role focuses on policy development, compliance, and improved reporting, requiring strong communication, analytic skills, and collaboration with IT and management across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years minimum experience in Upstream Oil and Gas Accounting and related fields.
• Five (5) years minimum experience in a accounting support role with GL/Joint Venture/AR/AP/Revenue/Production Accounting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support operational accounting functions and assist Accounting Advisory with governance and policy development.
• Help implement SAP FICO enhancements and translate business needs into functional specs.
• Provide end-user training and ongoing support for SAP users.
• Assist in evaluating and improving accounting processes and controls.
