Job summary

Hilcorp Energy Company is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support the accounting advisory team. You will handle technical accounting transactions, define functional requirements for SAP enhancements, and prepare accounting policies and procedures to ensure policy compliance.

You will also provide end-user SAP training, assist with reporting requirements, and help implement new assets during acquisitions while aligning with company best practices and governance.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years minimum experience in Upstream Oil and Gas Accounting and related fields.
• Five (5) years minimum experience in accounting support roles (GL, JV, AP, AR, C&PC, Revenue, Production).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Understand needs of Operational Accounting and support Accounting Advisory.
• Envision, design, and deliver accounting policies and procedures.
• Modernize accounting operations using current technology to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Translate project documents into functional specs for development.
• Provide end-user training regarding SAP.
• Assist in SAP FICO system enhancements, upgrades, and implementations.
• Support accounting implementation of new assets during acquisitions.
• Collaborate with IT and SAP teams and prepare management updates.
