Job summary

SpaceXSI is building a large-scale fiber optic connectivity stack to support hundreds of thousands of GPUs. The Network Connectivity Engineer will design, deploy, and qualify high bandwidth networks in cutting-edge data centers, coordinating with optical, mechanical, and software teams.

You will architect scalable cabling plans, manage material procurement, and ensure adherence to building codes and standards while driving deployments across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of practical experience in data center connectivity
• 5+ years of experience in designing data center connectivity
• Experience with multimode fiber, singlemode fiber, copper, and other low-voltage telecom systems
• Experience with structured cabling and both active and passive cabling elements

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, future-proof data center connectivity for clusters of GPUs
• Procure fiber, copper, and other materials for new builds and refreshes
• Provide project management and construction oversight for connectivity scope
• Plan network upgrades and overhauls in live data center environments
• Develop and maintain as-built documentation for connectivity
• Release and troubleshoot circuits across regions; coordinate with providers
• Collaborate with capacity planning and engineering teams on cluster design
