Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a Senior Fiber Engineer for a 100% remote, long-term contract. The role focuses on validating fiber networks, troubleshooting, remediation, and reporting in collaboration with vendors, project managers, and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of fiber telecom experience, strong ISP/OSP knowledge, hands-on OTDR and Bi-Directional testing skills, and proficiency in CD/PMD testing with optical loss analysis. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed test reports, redlines, and demarcation documentation.
• Work closely with vendors and project teams to validate network performance.
• Travel to customer sites when required for testing and remediation activities.

We are seeking an experienced Fiber Analyst with strong expertise in OTDR testing, Bi-Directional Testing, Fiber Characterization (CD/PMD), and ISP/OSP fiber networks. This role will focus on fiber network validation, troubleshooting, remediation, and reporting while collaborating with vendors, project managers, and internal teams.
