Job summary

Citizant is seeking a Senior FEM Developer to lead design and modernize software for Air Force maintenance and asset management. You will guide teams, review architectures, and ensure secure, scalable enterprise solutions.

You will collaborate with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver modernization, cloud migration, and integrations with IBM Maximo. A strong background in Java and XML is required, with DoD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years providing technical leadership or lead developer support.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise software solutions.
• Experience conducting code reviews, mentoring developers, and establishing best practices.
• Demonstrated experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
• Experience supporting/integrating IBM Maximo.
• Experience with XML and related technologies.
• Experience with Agile delivery and DevSecOps.
• Experience with source control, versioning, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong leadership, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Local to Montgomery, AL.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of software capabilities supporting FEM.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
• Evaluate solution alternatives and architectural impacts.
• Perform code reviews and establish development standards.
• Mentor developers and promote knowledge sharing.
• Design and support enterprise integrations and interfaces.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex issues.
• Support modernization, cloud migration, and debt reduction.
• Participate in backlog refinement, estimation, and release planning.
• Collaborate with Government stakeholders and technical teams.
• Support cybersecurity compliance and vulnerability remediation.
• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between FEM, IBM Maximo, and external systems.
• Support Maximo environment enhancements and modernization.
