Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Fellow, Energetic Safety to serve as the company’s foremost technical authority for the safe manufacture, handling, processing, and disposal of energetic materials. This role establishes technical vision, governance, and standards to align safety with strategic business objectives.

The Senior Fellow leads across the lifecycle of energetic products, mentors talent, and represents Anduril with customers, regulators, and industry groups while guiding capital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline related to energetic materials or safety engineering.
• 20+ years with energetic materials, rocket propulsion, missile systems or defense production.
• Enterprise-level technical leadership across aerospace/defense programs.
• Experience with solid rocket motors, propellants, energetic manufacturing, and AUR integration.
• Explosive safety and process safety leadership in facility design/modernization.
• DoD 4145.26, DDESB requirements, OSHA PSM, DOT hazmat and related regs.
• Ability to influence executives and guide capital investment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the highest-level technical authority on energetic safety.
• Establish enterprise strategy and governance for energetic safety.
• Develop and maintain enterprise standards for energetic materials handling and disposal.
• Provide oversight for operations involving energetic materials.
• Lead design, expansion, modernization of energetic manufacturing facilities.
• Establish safety design criteria for facilities and storage areas.
• Review layouts, equipment, and processes for safety compliance.
• Incorporate inherently safer design and risk reduction methods.
• Lead PHAs, PHRs, ESSP, Q-D analyses and other safety assessments.
• Mentor engineers and leaders; engage with executives and regulators.
• Represent the company in customer reviews, audits, and industry forums.
