Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Explosives Operations Engineer to advance explosive systems from development to field support. You will coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to translate requirements into executable operations across land, sea, and air domains.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in explosives operations including safety, storage, transport, and test/field execution.
• Hands-on experience supporting explosives operations in operational, test, range, or field environments.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory environment for explosives—DoD, ATF/ATFE, DOT, OSHA—and practical application in real operations.
• Experience developing or enforcing SOPs and supporting safe operating practices, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and program teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute explosives operations for current and future Anduril products.
• Support hands-on explosives operations across test, field, and operational environments.
• Lead and support range safety activities and enhance safety/compliance posture.
• Develop site laydowns, blast/fragmentation considerations, and distance-based mitigation strategies.
• Draft and enforce explosive safety procedures and operating instructions.
• Ensure operations comply with DoD, ATF/ATFE, DOT, OSHA, and internal safety requirements.
• Serve as SME on explosives operations, handling, safety, and compliance.
• Collaborate with legal, operations, finance, program leadership, business development, engineering, and EHS.
• Assist in explosives storage including inventory, security, inspections, and forecasting.
• Improve explosives operations and training programs to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Train others on safe handling and operational execution.
• Work with USG and non-USG customers and internal teams in austere environments.
