Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a qualified Feedyard Assistant Supervisor for a progressive Nebraska cattle feeder. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead from the front, supervise day-to-day yard activities, and ensure cattle are cared for in a safe, efficient environment.
The ideal candidate will have feedyard leadership experience, strong cattle-handling skills, bilingual English/Spanish, and a proven ability to train and motivate a diverse crew.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced feedyard professional who enjoys leading people while remaining actively involved in the daily operation. The successful candidate will assist with supervising day-to-day feedyard activities, ensuring cattle are cared for properly while maintaining a productive, safe, and efficient work environment.
This is a hands-on leadership position requiring someone who leads from the front. The Assistant Supervisor will work closely with management and other department heads to coordinate daily operations, prioritize workloads, and ensure cattle move efficiently throughout the yard. The ideal candidate will be an experienced cattleman with excellent people skills who can effectively supervise employees while maintaining high standards for cattle care and employee performance.
Primary responsibilities include overseeing herd health activities, monitoring cattle daily for signs of illness or injury, coordinating treatment protocols with the processing and hospital crews, and ensuring accurate treatment records are maintained. This individual will also supervise the cowboy crew, organize daily cattle movements, assist with shipping and receiving, and help ensure cattle are handled using sound, low-stress stockmanship practices.
The Assistant Supervisor will play an important role in employee development by training new crew members, coaching existing employees, setting daily expectations, and fostering teamwork and accountability throughout the operation. Strong bilingual communication skills are essential to effectively lead and support the crew.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with facility inspections, maintaining pens, gates, water systems, and handling equipment, promoting workplace safety, and working collaboratively with feeding, processing, maintenance, and management personnel to maximize cattle performance and operational efficiency.
