Job summary

The Simplot Company is hiring a maintenance technician to support the Grand View feed mill and feedlot. You will help ensure safe, reliable production and delivery by inspecting equipment, diagnosing issues, and performing preventive repairs.

Strong welding and mechanical skills help you install upgrades and maintain systems. Ideal candidates have an AA or technical training and 1–3 years in industrial maintenance, with ability to read manuals and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent technical training in maintenance or related field.
1–3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or feed mill operations.
Ability to read safety procedures, manuals, and equipment specs.

Responsibilities

Inspect, monitor, and test feed mill equipment such as grinders, mixers, and conveyors.
Diagnose malfunctions by observation, inspection, and discussions with staff.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs for continuous operations.
Maintain and repair material handling, conveyors, motors, and hydraulics.
Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
Maintain pipe and hydraulic/pneumatic systems and replace valves and gauges.
Assist with installation of new equipment and facility improvements.
Maintain a safe, organized work environment and comply with safety procedures.
Provide daily maintenance support for feed manufacturing and delivery systems.
