Job summary
Beyond SOF is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a Federal customer with enterprise WAN/MAN responsibilities. You will design, implement, test, and optimize a secure WAN infrastructure spanning 1200+ field sites and multiple directorates.
Role requires extensive Cisco routing/switching expertise (CCNP/CCIE), strong BGP/OSPF/EIGRP skills, and experience with Riverbed, NetScout, and F5 tools. CBP clearance preference is noted.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of network engineering experience with medium to large WAN networks.
- Experience with Cisco routing/switching configuration to CCNP level and with ASR, 1900-7600 series.
- IP experience including IPv4/IPv6.
- Riverbed WAN Optimization experience.
- BGP experience required.
- EIGRP and OSPF routing knowledge.
- NHRP/VRF and related concepts familiarity.
Responsibilities
- Interface with customers to collect and clarify requirements.
- Manage network testing, installation, and support for the MAN/WAN system.
- Mentor and guide other networking team members.
- Troubleshoot network performance using software and hardware tools.
- Provide recommendations to improve network performance.
- Coordinate with vendors during outages or degraded performance.
- Design, document, install, test, and implement network solutions.
- Provide client consulting and training on network facilities.
