This fully remote leadership role requires substantial federal criminal defense experience and a proven track record developing legal support teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years substantive criminal defense paralegal experience.
• Substantive federal criminal defense paralegal experience is required.
• Prior management experience including supervising paralegals or staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the paralegal and support staff team.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring, and accountability to staff.
• Support attorneys on complex federal and other criminal defense matters.
• Manage cases through intake, hearings, trial prep, and post-trial matters.
• Draft and file motions, pleadings, subpoenas, and discovery documents.
• Coordinate discovery and manage large volumes of records and evidence.
• Maintain attorney calendars and track court appearances and deadlines.
• Communicate with clients and families regarding case status and scheduling.
• Train, mentor, and establish consistent processes across the team.
