Job summary

City of Plant City is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee federal government contracting activities from New Orleans, LA. The role covers contract administration, compliance, and subcontracts within a high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in contract management, strong FAR knowledge, and proven ability to coordinate with legal, operations, and finance teams to ensure audit-ready documentation and timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in contract administration, contract management, government contracting, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience working with U.S. federal government contracts.
• Strong working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
• Experience managing subcontracts and subcontractor relationships.
• Strong understanding of legal and contractual documents and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of federal, commercial, and subcontract agreements from review through execution, administration, modification, and closeout.
• Interpret and apply FAR requirements and applicable federal contracting regulations.
• Review contracts, subcontracts, amendments, modifications, NDAs, teaming agreements, and other documents.
• Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, milestones, and renewal dates.
• Coordinate with legal, operations, finance, project management, and leadership on contractual matters.
• Identify contractual risks and compliance issues and address them appropriately.
