Job summary

Granite Construction seeks a Project Manager for the Federal Division to lead complex projects with NAVFAC, USACE, and DoD, overseeing delivery from planning through closeout on sites in Olympia, Seattle, and Tacoma.

The role requires 5–10 years of heavy civil experience, strong leadership, budget control, and strict adherence to federal requirements, safety, scheduling, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
• Five to ten years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
• Minimum five years experience in paving, dirt, and grading in either private or public environments.
• Experience delivering construction projects for NAVFAC, USACE, DoD, or other federal agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of federal construction projects, including planning, execution, contract administration, quality control, and closeout.
• Manage multidisciplinary federal construction scopes (heavy civil, horizontal, marine, industrial, and vertical building).
• Coordinate with federal clients and stakeholders to ensure safety, compliance, and on-time delivery.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and project controls; monitor productivity and profitability.
