Job summary

Onsite Construction Group, LLC in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Federal Project Manager – Construction to oversee federal projects from pre-construction through closeout. You will ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and manage schedules, budgets, and procurement for complex government contracts.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of federal or military project experience, knowledge of procurement processes, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience managing federal or military construction projects.
• Proficiency with FAR/DFARS and federal contracting requirements.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to obtain federal security clearance if required.
• Must pass background check and 9-panel drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of federal construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and execution.
• Serve as primary point of contact with federal contracting officers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Ensure full compliance with contract documents, FAR, DFARS, and labor/safety standards.
• Prepare and review schedules (CPM), submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Oversee cost control, risk management, and progress reporting.
• Lead project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with quality control, safety, and field teams to ensure project excellence.
• Manage project closeout, including as-builts, warranties, and final documentation.
• Some traveling may be required.
