Jobot is seeking a Project Manager for a well-established Federal and Government Contractor in Chicago and beyond. You will oversee federal/government construction projects, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budgets and quality standards.

The role requires at least 5 years in federal government construction, strong contract experience, and a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in construction, focused on Federal/Government projects.
• Proven experience dealing with government contracts.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; SSHO certification a plus.
• Excellent leadership and decision-making skills with ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and standards.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and manage risks and issues.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and managing all aspects of Federal/Government construction projects from initiation to completion.
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Developing comprehensive project plans and schedules, and monitoring progress against plans.
• Coordinating with clients, contractors, and government officials.
• Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues with actionable strategies.
• Managing resources and budgets, reporting status to senior management.
• Ensuring documentation complies with company and government regulations.
• Implementing project changes and interventions to achieve outputs.
• Evaluating outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
