Job summary

Planate Management Group seeks a seasoned Construction Inspector to support the USCG TRACEN Yorktown, VA project. You will ensure construction aligns with contract documents, monitor quality and safety, review tests and schedules, and maintain meticulous records.

You will advise the KO, COR, and PM to help deliver the project from mobilization through completion. The role is contingent on contract award, with an anticipated period from Oct 1, 2026 through Jul 31, 2028.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience as a Construction Inspector, Contractor Superintendent, or Quality Control Manager, or 5 years with a related degree/certification.
• Experience on Federal Government construction projects within the last 10 years.
• Knowledge of building systems, utilities, construction trades, drawings, specs, and codes.

Responsibilities

• Attend project meetings and prepare minutes.
• Review contract documents and schedules; assess changes.
• Perform daily inspection for contract compliance.
• Witness field tests and review testing reports and materials.
• Monitor surveys, submittals, and as-built drawings.
• Identify non-compliant work and safety violations.
• Review payment requests, payrolls, and schedules.
• Maintain project documentation and diaries.
