Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture from a NAAB accredited program.
• Minimum 8 years related experience (master's may substitute for one year).
• Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
• Registered Architect or ability to obtain licensure.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge to broad assignments.
• Previous consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs various tasks throughout each project phase.
• Supervises the preparation and checks the accuracy of contract documents.
• Incorporates applicable codes, construction techniques and sequences in projects.
• Supervises and/or performs site observations and reports on conditions and progress.
• Handles problems and questions during construction.
• Responsible for project cost control.
• External communications to clients, officials, and contractors as required by projects.
• Writes reports such as feasibility studies, condition reports and recommendations.
• Performs building code reviews and prepares applications.
• Documents progression of routine projects through correspondence and calculations.
• Initiates contact with client and town officials; exercises professional judgment in contractual liability.
