Job summary

Forever 21 in-office Merchant position leads the buying strategy for our e-commerce site across all departments, building trend-right assortments that drive sales, margin, and inventory turns. You will shape product design, strategy, and collaborate across Design, Planning, Production to ensure performance and innovation.

Responsibilities include defining seasonal plans, forecasting trends, managing Open-to-Buy, and monitoring real-time sales to maximize top-line results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising or related field is required.
• 3–5+ years of buying experience in a specialty or fashion retail environment.
• Strong understanding of fashion trends and consumer behavior.
• Proven success managing sales, margin, and inventory metrics.
• Analytical and creative thinker; able to collaborate with Planning and Design.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Ability to influence peers and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a clear product strategy and seasonal business plan.
• Align with Design, Planning, and Production to bring the vision to life.
• Forecast trends with Design and translate into customer-relevant assortments.
• Manage Open-to-Buy to hit margin and Weeks of Supply targets.
• Monitor sales performance in real-time and optimize top-line results.
• Lead meetings and drive clarity and accountability.
• Support team initiatives and projects.
