Cherry Bekaert's FAO practice is growing and seeks a Senior Associate to deliver accounting, financial reporting, and operational accounting services for middle‑market clients. You will handle general ledger, reconciliations, month‑end close, and management reporting in a collaborative environment.

You bring a bachelor’s in accounting/finance and 3+ years of experience, with strong Excel and ERP skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while delivering high‑quality client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day accounting activities for multiple client engagements, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and management reporting packages.
• Maintain accounting records and ensure compliance with established processes and internal controls.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other client accounting projects as needed.
• Collaborate with clients and internal team members to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
• Leverage accounting systems and technology to support efficient service delivery.
• Manage multiple client priorities while delivering high‑quality client service.
