Job summary

U.S. Soccer Federation is seeking a Manager, Fan and Soccer Community Experiences to lead how fans feel at matches, events, and digitally. You will shape the national team fan experience, craft the programming slate for tentpoles, and integrate physical and digital touchpoints to create a connected fan journey.

In this leadership role, you will build repeatable systems, set experience standards, manage budgets, and partner across departments to deliver memorable, on-brand experiences at scale.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 6–8+ years of progressive experience in fan experience, experiential marketing, live events, or brand experience within sports, entertainment, or consumer-facing industries.
  • Direct people management experience, including coaching and developing junior staff.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering high-impact experiential programs at national scale.
  • Fluency across physical and digital experience — able to brief a content and social team as credibly as a production vendor.
  • Experience programming events as content: curating talent, cultural partners, and creative components.
  • Track record of owning and managing significant event budgets.
  • Comfort using data and fan insight to set strategy, prioritize investment, and evaluate performance.
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration, communication, and executive presence.
  • Ability to travel approximately 40–50% annually.

Responsibilities

  • Own fan and soccer community experience strategy across matchday, tentpole, and special events.
  • Define multi-year experiential roadmap and annual programming calendar.
  • Establish and maintain playbooks, standards, and a repeatable experience framework.
  • Lead programming for national team matchday experiences and major events.
  • Design end-to-end matchday journeys from pre-event to post-event extension.
  • Collaborate with Partnerships, Events, Production, Ticketing, and other teams to align on-site and digital experiences.
  • Build multi-market plans and manage vendors, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
  • Set KPI framework for fan experience and drive data-driven improvements.
