Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field as described by the Department of Human Resources.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field with two years of related human services experience; promotion criteria may require four years if internal prior to 1999.

Responsibilities

• Transports children to placements, meetings, therapy sessions, doctor and dental appointments.
• Attends court, testifies, and coordinates cases with attorneys.
• Provides parent education and support for families in target population.
• Conducts intensive in-home counseling; prepares reports to referral sources.
• Interviews and assesses clients and assigns to appropriate groups.
• Informs clients of service programs and the rules and rights to participate.
• Provides after hours on-call coverage and responds to emergencies in child/adult protective services.
• Performs investigative duties to screen referrals for validity

Education

Bachelor’s degree in human services field (Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree in any field + 2 years related human services experience
