About the Role

The Senior Family Law Attorney will serve as lead counsel on complex family law matters and will take substantial ownership of cases from initial consultation through final resolution.

You will work directly with clients, develop case strategy, handle litigation and negotiations, and collaborate with paralegals and other legal professionals to move matters forward efficiently.

This role also carries a leadership component. Your experience will help strengthen the attorneys and professionals around you, improve the way the firm serves clients, and contribute to a culture centered on integrity, excellence, and compassionate advocacy.

Compensation

$100,000 - $130,000 yearly, depending on experience

Qualifications

• What We're Looking For:
• We are seeking an accomplished family law attorney who combines significant legal experience with strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Required Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active Tennessee law license and membership in good standing with the Tennessee Bar
• 10+ years of legal experience
• Significant experience handling family law litigation
• Extensive knowledge of family law procedures, litigation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex family law matters
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Strong courtroom presence and professional judgment
• Proven ability to build trust with clients experiencing difficult personal circumstances
• Commitment to ethical practice and exceptional client service
• Ability and willingness to mentor attorneys and legal professionals expected

Responsibilities

• Key Responsibilities
• As a Senior Family Law Attorney, you will:
• Manage complex family law matters independently from initial consultation through resolution
• Serve as lead counsel in divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, and post-decree matters
• Develop litigation and negotiation strategies tailored to each client's circumstances and objectives
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, negotiations, and trials
• Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
• Mentor junior attorneys and provide guidance to other members of the legal team
• Share knowledge and experience to strengthen the firm's overall legal practice
• Contribute recommendations for improving firm systems, processes, and client experience
• Help foster a culture of professionalism, integrity, teamwork, and high-quality client service
