Job summary

Eurofins EAG Laboratories, Irvine, CA, seeks a Principal Failure Analysis Engineer to lead advanced semiconductor and electronics failure investigations, applying OBIRCH, XIVA, EM analysis and other analytical tools to identify root causes and guide client decisions.

You will work hands-on in a fast-paced lab, mentor peers, and coordinate multi-disciplinary investigations to deliver robust results for high‑impact projects.

Qualifications

• BSEE or MSEE required.
• Minimum 15+ yrs of direct, hands-on Failure Analysis laboratory experience (semiconductor and electronics industry).
• Experience and knowledge in: Semiconductor, materials analysis, electronics manufacturing, design.
• Experience as a technical lead, manager or mentor is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical discussions to understand the scope and expectations.
• Design and execute analytical plan/methods.
• Consult with value-added insight and result interpretation.
• Lead or mentor engineers and manage projects.
