Senior Failure Analysis Engineer

Summary

Our client is seeking a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer with automotive experience dealing with customer-facing quality concerns to join their team. This role is crucial to their quality assurance efforts in the automotive industry, focusing on identifying and resolving issues related to power semiconductors and power supply modules. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, customer-facing experience, and bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot AC/DC switching power supply modules using advanced diagnostic tools
• Perform fault isolation and root cause analysis on power ICs and related components
• Prepare detailed technical reports suitable for customer review
• Collaborate directly with customers and support quality resolutions, including on-site visits when necessary
• Support global quality initiatives, including teams in China and Taiwan
• Communicate technical findings clearly in both verbal and written formats

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in failure analysis of power semiconductors or analog/mixed-signal ICs
• Strong knowledge of switch-mode power supply applications
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
• Experience in customer-facing roles involving quality concerns, ideally in the automotive sector
• Ability to interpret system-level schematics and IC layouts
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Education/Certification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related field is required

Additional Requirements

• A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least three years of relevant experience is preferred
