Job summary

Michigan Medicine, the umbrella for UMMS/UMMG, seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst to drive analytics across the clinical enterprise and support Michigan Medicine's fiscal health. You will own faculty productivity data, CPT and E/M analytics, and cFTE data, using SQL, R, Python to uncover root causes and devise solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a quantitative field.
• Advanced skills in querying and transforming data from databases via SQL, R, Python, and Excel.
• Advanced skills in navigating data warehouse architecture and creating stable data tables/m views.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Proven track record of stakeholder management and delivering actionable analyses.
• Fluency in presenting complex data findings clearly to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day data operations for faculty productivity analytics program.
• Co-lead the data operations for the cFTE program; manage vendor relationships.
• Develop, validate, and publish a suite of faculty data reports and dashboards.
• Establish monthly data quality audits and data governance practices.
• Act as lead analyst for clinical productivity inquiries from senior executives.
• Mentor other analysts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
