Job summary

Brightline Trains is hiring a Senior Facility Technician in Florida to join the Maintenance Team. The role covers inspecting and repairing building and rail stock equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and utilizing plumbing, electrical, painting, heating, and cooling skills.

Position requires 4+ years in maintenance, a Journeyman Electrical License or equivalent, and a strong technical background in electrical systems and welding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, some college, technical certification, or vocational training preferred.
• 4+ years of professional experience in building maintenance, or similar maintenance operations, preferably in railroad, manufacturing, or similar environments.
• Journeyman Electrical License required or related professional specialist experience
• Demonstrated expertise in electrical systems, welding, and overall building maintenance/construction, underscoring a robust technical background.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Maintenance: Perform major electrical tasks including panel changes, circuit installation, wire pulling, and fixture repair or replacement; troubleshoot electrical systems (3-phase 480/208V, 220/110V, low voltage, DC).
• Mechanical Maintenance: Maintain mechanical systems (air compressors, air dryers, lifts, scrubbers, forklifts, train wash, lavatory carts) and heavy equipment (locomotive drop table, wheel lathe, sand tower, bridge crane).
• Facility Maintenance: Daily monitoring of the fuel farm and general repair facility upkeep, painting and equipment repair.
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Mentorship: Guide other technicians to ensure quality work.
• Communication: Monitor Brightline channels and intranet (bConnected) for timely updates.
