Summary of Role: Regulated Waste Technician – Manage regulated waste at Fab 8.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain 90-day areas per Federal and State requirements including inspections and inventory.
• Enter clean room as needed to manage waste requests and specific satellite accumulation areas.
• Track and manage approved waste requests including empty and full container movement.
• Follow GF Regulated Waste Program
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, drum trucks and pick up trucks on site.
• Load trailers with containerized waste, empty drums, etc.
• Managing lab packing inventory and what is approved for shipment via profiles.
• Consolidating drum heels for shipment.
• Consolidating appropriate waste streams into on site treatment.
  
  

Other Responsibilities

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Education – High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience - Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Skills- Drivers license. Computer literate in Windows and Microsoft Suite.
• Travel – Up to 10%.
• Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
• Physical Capacity Demands – Lift 50lbs. Able to walk most of the day including stairs. Move filled drums on and off pallets. Ability to pass medical qualification for a personal respirator.
• Ability to follow direction and complete assigned tasks within expected time frames.
• Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card Holder.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Education – Associates degree in Environmental Science or similar field. HAZWOPER certified, DOT, RCRA certifications.
• Experience – Experience with hazardous materials management and material logistics. Experience with Fab 8 site, systems and processes.
• Skills – Fork Truck operation
• Ability to take on small projects and recognize opportunities for improvement
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning & organizational skills.
  
  

Expected Salary Range

$46,400.00 - $80,100.00
