Job summary

The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance at Walmart ensures the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities through preventive maintenance, repairs, and documentation. This role requires strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and the ability to read blueprints. Excellent communication with managers and vendors is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience performing preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
• Ability to read blueprints and repair manuals to diagnose issues.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA safety regulations.
• Experience leading technicians and providing hands-on training.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, parts inventory, and contractors.
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality.
• Inspect, diagnose, and document wear, damage, and repair needs using blueprints and manuals.
• Lead and train technician associates, providing hands-on instruction and overseeing work quality and safety compliance.
• Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to support operational efficiency.
• Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles following safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all work meets federal, state, and local codes and company standards.
• Compile and report budget and warranty information accurately.
