Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician for our SoCal distribution center to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair facility infrastructure and automated equipment. This hands-on role supports safe, efficient operations and mentors maintenance staff.

The position requires 3+ years of experience, ability to read schematics, and familiarity with conveyors and PLC-controlled systems. Full-time, Sunday-Thursday night shift in California.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with conveyors, automated equipment, motors, drives, compressors, or material handling systems.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
• Ability to safely use maintenance tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades on facility infrastructure, conveyors, automated material handling equipment, and warehouse automation systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues using drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Support and maintain critical facility systems, including motors, drives, compressors, power distribution, printers, strappers, and PLC-controlled technologies.
• Partner with operations, IT teams, vendors, and contractors to complete maintenance projects and improve reliability.
• Promote a safe work environment by following OSHA and LOTO procedures and training team members.
