Job summary

Vast Space Llc. in California is seeking a Senior Facilities Technician to support the design and build of space station components at the Mojave Test Site.

This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Facilities Manager – Mojave Test Site and focuses on maintaining facilities for critical spaceflight programs. You will perform routine maintenance, manage contractors, read blueprints, and operate lifts, with emphasis on safety and readiness for mission milestones.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years of facilities or maintenance experience.
• Experience with facilities in aerospace preferred.
• Able to read instructions and blueprints.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends to support mission milestones.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform routine building maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
• Complete break/fix repairs around facilities and premises.
• Manage contractors and conduct job walk-downs with vendors/engineers.
• Track work in the Facilities CMMS system.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as needed.
