Job summary

Seagate Technology is seeking a Staff Facilities Mechanical Engineer to lead design, construction, and operation of facility mechanical systems (HVAC, cooling water, water distribution) at the Normandale campus, MN. This role provides technical leadership for capital projects, reliability improvements, and energy efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering degree, 8+ years in industrial facilities, and a PE license (LEED AP preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; PE license required.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities.
• Experience designing HVAC systems for large facilities and water distribution systems.
• Experience managing engineering and construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, specification, and engineering of facility mechanical systems.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders; review submittals and designs.
• Support construction activities, commissioning, startup, and system acceptance.
