Job summary

Valence in Seattle, WA is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve production equipment. The role emphasizes installation, inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems, with safety as a core requirement.

The technician will troubleshoot, order parts, document work, and support capital equipment projects while adhering to company guidelines and safety policies. Monday–Friday shifts are offered, with DOE compensation.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required.
  • 5+ years facility maintenance experience.
  • Electrical work with certification (1+ year).
  • Plumbing work with certification (1+ year).
  • Welding experience (1+ year).

Responsibilities

Location: Seattle, WA

Compensation Range: $30.00 - $38.50 per hour DOE

Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 1st Shift 6am – 2:30pm or 2nd Shift 1pm – 9:30pm

Position Summary

Responsible for the overall maintenance of all equipment and the implementation of new equipment. Reports to Facilities Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Troubleshoot, support, and repair all production equipment.
  • Determine material, parts, and equipment required for repair, installation, and stock.
  • Install, inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and related systems across production and supporting departments.
  • Coordinate and participate in scheduled/preventive maintenance on all production equipment.
  • Complete all necessary documentation as described under company guidelines.
  • Design and implement the installation of new equipment and tools.
  • Must comply with all company safety rules and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in facility maintenance.
  • 1+ year of electrical experience with certification.
  • 1+ year of plumbing experience with certification.
  • 1+ year of welding experience.

  • Manufacturing/industrial setting with moving machinery and equipment.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and chemical odors (monitored and regulated by EHS).
