Job summary

Genentech in Holly Springs, NC is launching a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility. The Senior Manager, Facilities will lead the strategic management of all facility services, oversight of external partners, and ensure cGMP compliance across the site while driving operational excellence and cost efficiency.

The role requires 8+ years in bio-pharma manufacturing, strong IFM leadership, and a track record of regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as engineering, operations management, or related discipline preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience within a bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with extensive hands-on experience in cGMP facilities.
• Proven track record leading facility and engineering operations with IFM contract models and vendor oversight.
• Experience managing regulatory compliance and vendor performance for cGMP support functions (GMP cleaning, maintenance/calibration, pest control, validation).
• Leadership in matrix organizations, with strong problem-solving, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic oversight of Facility Management soft services and external providers to meet quality, safety, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Own facility compliance programs, including GMP cleaning, facility fitness, pest control, and alignment with Roche Genentech standards for audit readiness.
• Serve as primary liaison between site leadership and strategic vendors to drive operational excellence and cost efficiency.
• Develop facility management strategy during greenfield launch and onboard service partners for reliable, high-quality service.
• Evaluate Integrated Facility Management options and set up an IFM program where applicable.
• Post-launch, manage providers and IFM oversight, including governance, KPI reviews, and training adherence.
