Job description

PURPOSE

In this role, you will be a key member of the SSBO Facilities Engineering Team. The team focuses on providing solutions for a variety of manufacturing challenges in the aerospace industry. Some solutions we provide include equipment-based project management, critical infrastructure improvements, and technical advice pertaining to industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Write and submit documentation for capital project funding.
  2. Project management of equipment procurement and installation for production needs.
  3. Responsible for the specification of custom equipment when needed.
  4. Direct installation of equipment and processes in the manufacturing environment.
  5. Develop and adhere to project timetables and budgets.
  6. Provide after-installation equipment support and improvement.
  7. Oversee equipment installation and construction projects.
  8. Create project presentation content for engineering and production management.
  9. Create and maintain 2D/3D drawings of the facility and manufacturing equipment.
  10. Work directly with multiple teams to successfully achieve varied goals.
  11. Assist other PCC engineering teams on solving equipment-based product problems.
  12. Work closely with and favorably represent PCC with customers and suppliers.
  13. Manage multiple projects of varying size simultaneously.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Minimum B.S. in mechanical/industrial engineering or related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
  3. Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
  4. Experience procuring or working with industrial equipment.
  5. Experience developing and managing project timelines and budgets.
  6. Logical and analytic approach to problem solving.
  7. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of furnaces, pressure vessels, and other related foundry equipment.
  2. Understanding of hydraulic systems.
  3. Understanding of machine design concepts.
  4. P.M.P. Certification.
  5. Experience supervising other engineers and/or technicians.
  6. Understanding of industrial OSHA/ANSI/ISO equipment and safety standards.
