Job summary

Leader Communications seeks a Senior Facilities Engineer to lead design development, contract administration, and on-site execution of construction projects. You will oversee quality assurance, schedule synchronization, and cost management while maintaining compliance with security requirements.

The role requires a on-site presence at Luke AFB, AZ, with the ability to obtain/maintain a US Government Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years or total 10 years in commercial construction inspection, preferably at a military installation.
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• US Citizenship required for Secret clearance; Tier 3 clearance required for access to controlled areas.

Responsibilities

• Provides project management and technical oversight across all project lifecycle phases from design to closeout.
• Translates briefs into SOWs and design estimates using RSMeans.
• Reviews blueprints, submittals, and shop drawings to catch design errors.
• Conducts on-site surveillance and inspections to ensure quality benchmarks.
• Drafts cost estimates for change requests and contract modifications.
• Reviews RFIs, schedules inspections, and witnesses tests.
• Manages work clearance docs, safety permits, and archives correspondence.
• Updates as-built drawings in AutoCAD/Revit and compiles O&M manuals for leadership updates.
