Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking an HVAC Technician to maintain and repair the property's building systems, with a focus on boilers, chillers, building automation, AHUs, VAVs, pumps and refrigeration. The role requires versatility across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and life safety trades.

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, you will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, manage part inventories, and complete CMMS paperwork to keep operations safe and guests satisfied.

Qualifications

• 5 years of journey-level experience in building maintenance or related trades.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English; able to work with co-workers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; five+ years of mechanical experience including electrical, plumbing, carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair buildings’ HVAC systems, replacing worn or defective parts.
• Understand Building Automation Systems and identify problems; propose solutions.
• Work with DDC controls and read electrical schematics.
• Wire motors and motor controls; install and test equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document work orders.
• Take ownership of inventory and ordering spare parts.
