Job summary

Switch is seeking a DCO Facilities Chief Engineer in Las Vegas to serve as the senior technical authority for facilities infrastructure. You will lead electrical, mechanical, environmental and life-safety systems, driving commissioning, design reviews, and continuous improvement across the campus.

Responsibilities include leading investigations during events, mentoring staff, and ensuring OSHA safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of facilities electrical or mechanical systems experience in data centers or mission critical environments.
• Advanced knowledge of gensets, switchgear, transformers, UPS, ATS/STS, PDUs, chillers and cooling towers.
• OSHA 30 certification; other relevant certs preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for critical power, cooling and environmental systems.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis during infrastructure events.
• Participate in Change Advisory Board reviews and ensure operational readiness.
• Support commissioning, startup, and deployment of new equipment across campuses.
• Review mechanical and electrical design documents and provide operational feedback.
