Senior Facilities Building Engineer – Critical Infrastructure

Position Overview

As the Senior Facilities Building Engineer at Nikon AM Synergy, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of facilities and production equipment within our advanced manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Operations, this role requires strong leadership, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. You will oversee infrastructure uptime, manage a small team of technicians, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with industry standards such as OSHA, ISO14001, and AS9100D. Your role is critical in maintaining continuous manufacturing operations and supporting ongoing improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a team of technicians and contractors
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of facilities and equipment
• Oversee installation of new equipment and oversee repairs and diagnostics
• Maintain and improve the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives

Skills and Qualifications

• 10+ years in maintenance and facilities management
• Knowledge of HVAC, process chillers, argon and compressed air systems, cranes
• Ability to read technical documentation and troubleshoot complex systems
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and data analysis in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong leadership, communication, and professional presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a 24/7 operation
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance and be a US Person (U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident)
