YOUR ROLE AS A SENIOR FACILITES 1-C LICENSED BOILER OPERATOR:

As a Senior Facilities 1-C Licensed Boiler Operator at Resource Renew - The brand of Western Lake Superior Sanitary District, your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining boiler operations, ensuring optimal performance, and conducting routine inspections. You will be responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise and implementing effective solutions, all while adhering to safety protocols and regulatory standards.

In this role, you will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and logs related to boiler performance, power generation, gas conditioning, and safety checks. Engaging with fellow team members, you will participate in continuous improvement discussions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. This role provides an excellent platform to grow professionally while ensuring the integrity and reliability of our services at the facility.

To thrive as a Senior Facilities 1-C Licensed Boiler Operator, you will need a robust set of technical skills and knowledge. A deep understanding of low-pressure boiler heating and distribution systems is essential, as well as expertise in combined heat and power systems. Familiarity with boiler type and significance of chemical treatment and testing for maintaining operational efficiency and safety is important. Proficiency in computer operations and computerized process control systems (such as SCADA) is also necessary. Additionally, knowledge of air emissions permit requirements and compliance regarding underground storage tanks and stormwater management will help ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

The ideal applicant must possess:

  • Post-Secondary degree in building technologies or related field from an accredited college and three years' related experience in a commercial or industrial facility.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job duties may also be considered.
  • Minnesota First Class (1-C) Boiler Engineering License.
  • Minnesota Underground Storage Tank Operator Class C, or ability to obtain.
  • Valid driver's license.
