Job Location : Remote work and heavy travel, based on West Coast of the United States

Job Overview: Facilitators lead our proprietary training workshops and help support (coach) trained participants as they engage on these issues after our workshops. These sessions range from one hour briefings to 4+ hour workshops, virtual and in-person. Content is delivered to the Jewish community and to non-Jewish audiences. This specific Facilitator will ideally be based in Pacific or Mountain US time zones to manage west coast travel and partners.

Compensation: $120,000; $12,000 Health reimbursement fund (HRA); 401K; flexible work structure when not facilitating programs; generous PTO policy as outlined below.

Job Scope

Facilitation and Coaching (70%)

  • Lead workshop and training sessions as assigned.
  • Provide a great, inclusive, supportive experience for participants.
  • Follow standard operational processes as outlined.

Educational Department Responsibilities (15%)

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of our curriculum and training programs.
  • Keep informed of issues relevant to the Organization’s work.
  • Attend weekly staff meeting, weekly education department meeting, and other required staff and team specific meetings.

Administrative Work Related to Facilitation and Coaching (15%)

  • Participate in ongoing learning, shadowing, and development opportunities to grow as a facilitator.
  • Complete any required post-workshop facilitator debrief form and/or meetings.
  • Book travel accommodations (flights, hotels, etc.) for workshops that require travel
  • Categorize expenses at the end of each billing cycle
  • Hold pre-workshop meetings with partners

Facilitation time Expectations

  • Up to 80 hours/month of facilitation time
  • Facilitation time is not expected to exceed 80 hours per month. However, if facilitation hours do go beyond that, any additional facilitation time will be tracked and compensated based on total facilitation over a given quarter .
  • If facilitation hours fall below 72 the remaining hours will shift toward staff/internal responsibilities aligned with the role.

Full team vacation closures

We observe three organization-wide vacation periods each year when our offices close to ensure collective rest:

  • The “Ten Days of Teshuva (Repentance)”beginning with Rosh Hashanah (The Jewish New Year) and ending the day after Yom Kippur (The Jewish Day of Atonement).
  • The full week of Thanksgiving
  • The last two weeks of December

Individual Time Off

In addition to full-team closures, employees receive:

  • 2 weeks of personal vacation
  • 3 flexible holidays
  • Select Jewish holidays

Jewish Holidays

All dates observed as paid time off for all employees:

  • Passover (first two and last two days)
  • Sukkot (first and last two days)

Flexible Holidays

Employees may use their 3 flex holidays for personal, cultural, or family events. Examples include:

  • Religious or cultural holidays (ex. Veterans Day, Shemini Atzeret, First night of Chanukah)
  • School or Daycare related closures (ex. President’s Day, spring break)
  • Personal milestones (ex. birthdays, weddings, anniversaries)
