The Senior Fabrication Technician is responsible for producing fabricated products in the fabrication shop for FabACab Inc., and for providing leadership, support, and training to Fabrication Technicians. The role focuses on organizing, prioritizing, fabricating, and finishing products from raw materials while maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in weekly team huddles.
- Meet semi‑annually with the Fabrication Manager for review.
- Master cutting, bending, punching, shearing, and TIG/MIG welding practices efficiently with a focus on quality, meeting FabACab’s quality expectations and best practices.
- Represent FabACab to suppliers, vendors, and shipping professionals.
- Maintain efficient internal communication and respond to vendors within 24 hours.
- Lead and train fabrication technicians to help them grow.
- Identify and report product issues to the Fabrication Manager.
- Perform work prioritized by the Fabrication Manager.
- Keep the Fabrication Shop clean, organized, and clearly labeled.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum 5 years of metal fabrication experience.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
