Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a FAB Engineer 2 in Manassas, VA to develop and optimize wet chemical clean and etch processes in a high‑volume semiconductor environment.

You will lead efforts to improve yield, quality and cost while resolving line issues and qualifying new processes and materials. Responsibilities include applying structured problem‑solving methods (FMEA, 8D, SPC), collaborating with suppliers, and documenting results to drive continuous improvement and technology

Qualifications

• Statistical data analysis and root cause analysis required.
• FMEA, 8D or SPC methodologies expected.
• Product quality escalation and troubleshooting experience.
• Process, equipment and material evaluation and optimization, yield improvement.
• Assessing process adjustments to manufacture new products/types.
• Lead process management projects; data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize wet chemical clean and etch processes for high-volume manufacturing.
• Resolve manufacturing line issues and qualify new processes and materials.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet quality and risk objectives.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (FMEA, 8D, SPC) to support improvements.
• Maintain detailed documentation of process findings, risk assessments and results.
• Support yield improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
